How To Get hyperdrive upgrades after foundation update fast???

I did the milestone survive 5 sols to get warp reactor sigma I can't remember the others. People stare they find other ships with it built in already but that does not give you a blueprint . But look up specialist polo and it will give you the list of what he gives depending on what milestones you have accomplished .

I've not gotten any milestones for sols and I've spent a good majority of my time on planets with conditions that should be working this up. I've already got Atlas Pass v1 and a decent base. Collected a bunch of supplies started farming.

@OP - I found a system where I can make a lot of money buying from traders and selling to the station. I purchased a ship last night with one of the upgraded hyperdrives so I can hopefully get myself to a system with a Rad planet.

You need Theta to get a Red system, I believe.
Or Tau?
Theta requires you to complete Polo's entire quest chain. Which ends with the "impossible" goal of 10 planets with every animal found.

That's not so impossible. I'm not even trying and I have 3 complete already with another 3 that are only missing 1 or two animals.

Assuming those 3 almost completed are in the same system? its quite difficult to go backwards when you warp but good on you! I have 2/10

Red = Sigma
Green = Tau
Blue = Theta

I'm waiting for polo to make an appearance so I can get the tau blueprint, but the second or third ship I salvaged/bought already had the sigma reactor well before I got the sigma blueprint.

Ship's you find or buy will have a relative overall tech level compareble to your own. Which means if you keep on piling in better weapon and shield tech,which are easier to find, you might come across another fighter with tech you dont yet have a blueprint for.

You can find all those blueprints also without doing the Atlas path at all. Crashed pods and factories are the best way to find plenty.

Maybe that is new with the Foundation update, but prior to it I had Theta long before I got all 10 zoology milestones. It's not impossible, just hard. I got all 90 milestones prior to the update. Perhaps that has something to do with the 'rumored' Omega reactor? Haven't seen it yet, but I haven't paid Polo those high prices. Maybe after I recoup some funds from my freighter buying binge. :)

Pre update I probably paid up over 10 million to Polo. He never gives you any special tech. The prices increase gradually up to a max of 2 million and then stay there. He just gives you the basic tech you can get by talking to aliens, monoliths, or scavenging.

Im not 100% certain, but I dont believe you can get the polo tech any other way now.

If there were changes, then my above statement might be wrong. But I have certainly got some of the tech Polo offers you by other means before the update

You can get the atlas v1 pass from polo (default way) but you can also very rarely get the blueprint from Korvax systems manufacturing or operations centre had some people get it that way
