Galaxy types
Has it been confirmed without a doubt that these galaxy types (Ancestral, Raging, Tranquil, etc) really do something that differentiate the galaxies? I'm seeing conflicting reports.

Noob question. How do you go to another galaxy? Do you merely traverse across the one you are in till you can reach the edge of another one? Does it require long warp ability?

You first need to get <5000 LJ to the core + all reactors. Charge fully your hyperdrive and go.

I saw this thread right after I asked(lol):

One thing I find odd is if the universe is SO massive how can there be one of the 3 races in every solar system?? I was hoping if I went to the edge I would run into truly solitary systems. Getting shot at every time I want to mine tham sucks.

Where do you think you are? It's a game not a reality simulation :) Every system will behave identically because the program tells it to do so, very simple he? If you see a Toilgek with some little wings flying over a building, then give me a screenshot :)

I was hoping not to see any sentient beings at some point.

All will be revealed during the course of the Artemis storyline. ;)

The unique qualities of Eissentam, Calypso, and Budullangr are generally agreed upon. The only question remaining is whether or not there is anything unique about Hilbert.
There are no discernible differences between Euclid and Hilbert, as they're imperfect galaxies.

SPOILER ALERT!

Raging Galaxies: 3 (Calypso), 15 (Ogtialabi), 23 (Ekwathore), 35, 43, 55, 63, etc.

Ancestral Galaxies: 7 (Budullangr), 12 (Aptarkaba), 27 (Eajerandal), 32, 47, 52, 67, etc.

Tranquil Galaxies: 10 (Eissentam), 19 (Isdoraijung), 30 (Sudzerbal), 39, 50, 59, 70, etc.

All the others are imperfect.

^ What do those numbers refer to?

Those are from the galaxy order, for example euclid is the first, calypso is the third galaxy, Budullangr is the 7th and eissentam is the 10th. When you switch galaxy by going through the center, you go to the next one in the order, when you switch galaxy by picking the colored orbs, you go to the next one in the order that matches that type

So that implies that there are actually many galaxies, but maybe not all accesible in game yet.

They are all accesible, you just need to spend the time going through the center or use a mod/save edit.

As I recall there are over 250 galaxies. I thought it stopped at 256, but have been hearing claims that there are even more than that.

256 + some inaccessible negative numbers
The address system only supports 00 to FF which is 255

ABCD00XXXXXXXX
A = planet
BCD = system inside region
00 - galaxy Id
XXXXXXXX = region

An accessible 257th has been discovered.

I'd like to see this.
Just modified the save file to check out the ones out side of 0 to 255 and all that happened was it refered back to the galactic addresses and put me back in my system.
I can change those galactic addresses as well but that galaxy address in them only goes 0 to 255 in hex.

just to make it clear not saying you are lying but would like to know how.
Malak 27 out. 2017 às 8:11
So you get to the center and you can pick a galaxy type which then is random within that type or just the set ones? I'm unclear how you get to the rest of the less visited galaxies without cheating and editing files.
