Viktor is leading the crew on a mission to Siberia! First heading to the Siberian Arms Factory in Tomsk, the team will be picking up some newly developed UPR-17 gyro rifles. Once armed to the teeth, they'll head out to the East Siberian Sea for Operation Meltdown! A mighty Great White known as Icemaw is causing trouble across the region. The UPR-17's hot burning Microjets should make a big impact in the success of the mission! So dive in with the team to assist in the fight against Icemaw!

This event we've brought back the Event Supporter coin, and have released a Meltdown Supporter Bundle! Purchase the Meltdown Supporter Bundle to receive new holiday themed skins, including Icemaw, the Winter's Fury ADS, and more! All skins from this event can alternatively be earned from rewarded Meltdown Event Treasures by playing matchmade games of Depth.

Treasures earned in the Meltdown event will not be tradeable or marketable, and are not sold from the Depth Item Store.

Fight in the Weapon War and help decide the next diver weapon! Over the course of the event play matchmade games and earn points for your desired weapon each round! The winner of the tournament will be the next weapon added to Depth!

Weapon War Contestants

• QBS-06 Rifle - This Chinese assault rifle is based on the Russian APS rifle, however it features several modifications and fires slightly larger darts.
  
• ASM-DT Rifle - This Russian assault rifle was developed in the 90s and features a hybrid design allowing it to fire accurately both above and below the water.
  
• Pepperbox Pistol - The Pepperbox is a multi-barrel pistol which can be modified to fire a ring of spears like a mini Volleyjet.
  
• AAP-8 Pistol - The AAP-8 is a rather unique full-auto pistol which operates underwater. It makes up for its weaker stopping power with a high rate of fire.
  
• LJ-16 Boxcutter - Featuring a 4x4 grid of barrels, this volley gun earned its name for being able to simultaneously shoot a square of sixteen spears.
  
• Spear Sling - Although it is primitive, this rubber sling is still great for fending off sharks on a budget.
  
• Torpedo Launcher - Developed by Aquatekk Industries, this portable Torpedo Launcher was designed for frogmen to attack submarines and small ships.
  
• Flame Launcher - Designed at Impact Labs, the Flame Launcher lobs a specially designed projectile loaded with potassium allowing it to burst into flames underwater.

Daily Quests Expanded

We've updated Daily Quests with new quests for the Goblin Shark, UPR-17 Gyro Rifle, and more! We've also tweaked how quests are distributed to improve the variety of quests seen.

• Corrected mistranslation for Gyro Rifle unlock method in languages with issue
  
• Randomized the order Voting Options appear to improve voting fairness. Meaning that one weapon is not always the first choice for all players, as some players only click the first choice.
  
• Updated Gyro Rifle reload sound
  
• Fixed Gyro Rifle Icon not appearing on Weapon Wheel when changing weapons
  
• Adjusted Icemaw brightness to help with the Shark appearing too bright in some areas of maps.

• Fixed Snow Globe Shark Shield "bubble" not appearing smoothly on the outside

Flares actually work
A full scale underwater flame thrower that could actually kill something is pure fiction.
