Yes and yes. It is worth 20 bucks and it is also available in a sale from time to time. And if i remember correctly you can also test it with a demo.

I waited till it was on sale but these are not normaly my type of games but i liked it.

Not only is the base game great and worth the money, but the DLC "Invasion of the Ancients" is well worth it as well, IMO. I love playing the "Scavenger" class and other DLC races. Almost 350 hours into the game so far (meager, I know, but I don't get a lot of time to play taking care of a disabled person) and have never regretted it.
