Any tips for finding mandrake?

I wanted at least one for the Ring easter egg, but i can't seem to find them. I know they're rarely found in the swamp, but is there a specific region/time that helps with the spawn rate?
EDIT: i've also cut down all the "trees" for better visibility

It totally random, you can mark every grass in the swamp out for better identification (grasses are not random spawn)

Yeah my own approach is just to run around the swamp and farm other things while also keeping my eyes peeled for them. Make sure you have a high enough speed stat to be able to catch up to them though; 15 was just about enough for me when I got my first one.

I DID IT! i didn't realize they were disguising themselves as the swamp grass, and Shino 1-shot it as soon as it popped out of the ground

How did you get one? I am trying so hard to get one, tried to kill 2, but no success. It seems like a bug to me? I am trying to hit the mandrake (tried both a sword and a bow) but somehow I am not able to properly target it, it stands next to me and nothing happens.. then it ran away and disappeared in a mud.

I got lucky and one of my followers got it as soon as it popped out of the ground. i haven't actually killed one myself. have you tried the attack button your keyboard? it should hit without targeting it as long as it's in the hitbox.

winged shield gives movespeed bonus as well.

use space to manually attack, F will heavy attack which is slower.

Random bonus tip about heavy attacks, but after you raise the Smash skill to L2 you can animation cancel by tapping right mouse (Guard). If you get used to doing it right after the hit connects, you save quite a bit of recovery time and you can cheese a couple extra heavy hits where you wouldn't normally be able to. You can even move away in the slo-mo mode when you dismember someone with a heavy. xD

Wouldn't try to heavy attack a Mandrake though, those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are faster than a speedrunner being told first place gets £1000.

Самый дельный совет. Нашел свою первую мандрагору всего за 2 минуты. Название оружия "Хрустальный меч" или crystal sword. Еще могу добавить перезагружаться после поимки мандрагоры, так явно больше шансов найти следующую
