GTA V is in Chinese

Hello, having bought and installed GTA V (what was relatively long to download) I launch the game and when social club appears he is in Chinese character. I don't understand because steam is in french. Somebody to help me? (Sorry for my bad english)
I have already looked has to erase social club and has to reinstall him but that does not work. :'(

Odd. I am English, UK language installed in Windows, but currently in France and so downloaded it from a French/European Steam server. However, mine is ok. All in English. Sounds like a GTA/PC issues. Are they actually chinese characters, or is it more bad characters? Such as square boxes etc

Did you bought it from steam or from a keyshop?

Right click on GTAV in your library and see if it's Chinese in Language section.
Did a Chinese merchant gifted you the game?

I bought him on steam as all my games. Yes Chinese characters, no square boxes. I don't understand.

Can't get a Chinese gift version directly on Steam. Gifting GTA 5 through Steam is disabled in China and India. All retail copies of the game as far as I know only use Social Club. Only reviewers/streamers got Steam keys.

So the only thing the OP can do is check language settings in Steam or Social club.

3DM don't make their games chinese. They make it Russian. And also, change your Steam to Russian for free.

I bet you bought it for cheap on some website for around £20, €30 or $30 didn't you?, if so then you likely bought the Chinese version if non of the above solutions fix it for you.

If you did indeed buy is cheap from some random site then you are stuck and will have to learn Chinese.

edit: yes i do mean you may have bought a Chinese steam key by accident.

There are no language locks with the Chinese version.
