"GTA V" Launcher Crash -FIX- !
So I thought this Launcher Crash was happening for everybody then I noticed half of my friends can play the game without the Launcher Crash so I came here read what people say and think and I saw that many people have this Launcher Crash problem. I saw some stupid tutorials that doesn't work, and people disabling their graphics card and stupid stuff like that so I messed around by myself and came up to a FIX that works for me and ONLY for - Launcher Crash - problem!
How I fixed my problem when I start the game (launcher) and it crashes within the launcher, I will list things what I did to fix my problem and I hope you people who have the Launcher Crash problem could fix it this way!
- First of all Verify the files (GTA V) if you have it on Steam.
- Go to your directory where you installed the game.
- Right click on the "GTAVLauncher" application file in your directory where you installed GTA V, go to "Properties", then go to "Compatibility", tick the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for: (I chose "Windows 7" because I have Windows 7).
- Then below this you will have to tick the box "Run this program as an administrator".
- After all of this: Apply and then click Ok.
- Restart Steam if you have GTA V on Steam.
- Launch GTA V through Steam after you restarted and done everything I said above.
- If you have the 'LAUNCHER CRASH PROBLEM' this should FIX your problem!
I will say it AGAIN for the not so understandable people in the discussion part: This FIX is not for infinite LOADING, and other types of bugs, problems! This fix is only for the people who had problems like me when you launch the game it goes into the Launcher part and Crashes!
By the way that nonsense Windows account username thing is not that specific because everybody has problems with something else, and my username characters are all listed in the 'allowed' section, so that's not 100% everybodies problem like it's stated on the GTA V Store Page on Steam. Enjoy the game and cheers! :D
I don't use anti-virus.
