Highest I have seen on PC was in the 300s. And also was cheating with unlimited health.

500-600 rank is possible without any cheat if you play a lot.

Ive been playin almost the entire time game came out<started on ps3>. I am currently round the 260-270 rank<havent played in couple days lol> so anyone i see over 650 prob has been hacked
or played in a hacked game mission. If someone IS that rank or higher legit then...GO OUT SIDE SUKKA REAL PPL DO EXSIST lol <3

*Sigh* ok let me clarify a lil better then i did not mean i played the game every waking hour on every day........i love gtaV but im not that kinda diehard bout it, also when my first ps3 died kinda had to quit jammin for a while<gee wonder why> also as the pc release got closer i decided to wait for it. so MY BAD i didnt include my whole gaming history to the world...and if you are over rank 400 and have only played on pc you have prob done a hacked/modded race/mission more then once, or you have no life and its all you do. I have no life but i spread the love across many game lol

I started on pc and don't play much and I am 160. One of my friends started on ps3 he is 400s another one started on pc and he is 314. And one more friends who plays gta online whole day is 670s. And none of us has ever hacked.
If you are stuck on 260-270 you need to play more, or do more missions as they give more rp compared to other jobs like racing etc.

The level cap is 8,000.

It was originally capped off at 999, but modders were able to reach "1000" regardless. After enough time passed, they raised it to 8,000.
