Random people leaving during the Heist finale

R* should make an update so that whenever players disconnect during the Heist finale,
which happens like 90% of the time when you play with randoms,
instead of instantly stopping it,
they should allow players to vote whether they want to continue with reduced difficulty or quit.

Think about it.
If you play Heists with randoms, it happens all the time.
People just leave during the finale, whether it's because their internet is bad or they just no longer feel like doing it.
Or maybe they died and felt guilty about it.
And whatever the reason, it's annoying.
You have to return to your lobby (which also sucks because loading screen after heists takes forever.), start finale again and hope people might join back in.
(Btw, if you left because you felt guilty of dying, don't because having to restart the finale is more annoying than having a bad teammate. Just stay back and don't try anything)
This has been a big issue from the beginning.

So why not allow players to decide if they want to continue or not?
I don't know if you've ever played Diablo 3, but in that game,
every time your teammate leaves the game, enemy weakens.
So the difficulty is balanced automatically by the number of players.

Maybe same can apply to heists. If somebody leaves, maybe make it so that number of enemies spawning decreases to certain amount, as well as their hitpoints and accuracy.

If you're playing with friends, and one of them left during the finale because of the internet issue or whatever,
you can just vote to quit the finale and restart it with your friends.

If you're playing with randoms and you think he's not gonna come back,
you and your other teammates can talk and decide whether they want to redo this or keep going.
The cut of the leaver will be distributed equally to the remaining players.

This is just an idea.
I'm not saying R* should do this (although that's what I said in the beginning lol),
it just sparked in my head so I decided to share it here.

I know this will raise up a lot of questions and controversies.
Such as:
What if the leaver had 0% cut?
Or, why not just allow you to start finale without having to wait 3 people, then? That's more convenient.
And what happens if finale requires players to have unique roles like Pacific standard or Prison break does?
What if players start to abuse it by leaving the finale sequentially so that they can give one player 100% cut? Which would 100% happen if this was a thing.
What if the player left during the beginning or almost towards the end of the finale?
And many more.

Idk, I didn't really think it through but just imagined what it would have been like if this was possible.
Basic idea of this is that players should have some kind of insurance when leavers happen.
People leaving during the finale is super annoying, you know.
But then again, I'm sure R* thought of it when they were developing the game and there's a reason they thought not to. It's more simpler that way.

Like, to be fair, i get dissed quite often even when playing with friends....there needs to be a short time after a dis, that the people can rejoin and restart from checkpoint.

The game runs on Peer2Peer and random disconnect can always happen. So don't be surprise if that happens in any games only relying on Peer2Peer Networking, such as GTA Online itself.

R* wont fix squat. There are year old glitches still in game and they haven't fix those yet, I highly doubt they will fix the heist issues. After all it could be intentional to piss enough people off from heists so they just go and buy shark cards. I wouldn't put it past them

It's just people ragequitting or leaving for whatever reason. I've literally never disconnected from a heist in 6 years.

I've only done heists with friends. I don't ever recall anyone disconnecting.

Joined my first heist today, just started playing online like a week ago. Was randoms and the host was taking a 90% cut, one guy left and now im back to trying to grind for my first heist. only 1.5 mil to go =/

Me and Hex and Bor3d just finished Hex's Casino finale lol
Hex and I were both rusty because we haven't done Casino heists for a year so it took quite some attempts but we got it done at the end.
