I did a few doomsday prep's from act III on the 12th ~16th but I’m not seeing it .

At least me yeah, with no problems this time. Did you check in Vespucci mask shop? It's under full head category or smh. Btw you had to do it between March 11 - 17. If you did, then contact R* support.

So here is what i did , and the response i got from r*.

I checked several of my wardrobe closets under masks / full head , it wasn't there , i didn't see it at Vespucci mask shop either ,

^^^ im not sure what " smh" means . ^^^

Then I wrote up a support request ticket ,
including a screen shot of one of the end mission scene's post prep work with the meta data that shows the date that i did it ( the 12th )

Now ,... I have invested a significant amount real world money on in game items ,
time on missions and effort in finding a small hand full of Friends that aren't total D-holes . that I am not willing to lose .

over a free promotional item for completing a task in a time frame
( that's what this topic is all about by the way )


SO , My Question to you my fellow steam gta v online players is this ,

If I Delete my " Local Profile " like r* said to do ,

How will this effect my online game progression,
inventory and Friends list on r* social club ?

All that should be retained (inventory, friends, etc.), you'd simply be removing the local stored files and cause the game to resync those from the Rockstar home server when you next launch it. Depending on the instructions provided, your graphics settings and any custom keybinds could be reset, but those details are probably relatively easy to re-create.

Ok that's interesting, usually what they ask the most is just if you have some "proof" in case they have no data that you did it.
Maybe deleting your "local profile" would actually help. Btw that does not mean that you go to character screen and delete it lol. Just rename/delete r* folders in documents and appdata.

Ok , So i followed the instructions R* sent me :

-Start the Rockstar Games Launcher
- Select Settings
- Select Account Information
- Select Delete Local Profile

and restarted the game via desk top launcher shortcut , Still no change, no item .

so i tried this :

it's a little vague so here is exactly what i tried :

Documents / Rockstar games / GTA V / Profiles

( i renamed "Profiles" to "(old) Profiles (old)"

and restarted the game thru steam , it created a new "Profiles" folder , on restart it asked me if i wanted to enable "cloud saves" , i selected yes , then the monitor brightness calibration screen came up , i adjusted the brightness . the game started and i went to gta online and checked my wardrobe under masks / full head . still no item .

now im digging around my pc looking for the magic folder to delete to get the one item ,

Its bugged by R*.
In my case (on 2 accounts) I unlocked it but only for 1 character per account :\

I Got my promotional item this morning ,
took a minute but R* came thru with the item after reviewing my game account .

Consider this thread a rookies guide to " Omg where's my promo thingy " .
