ERR_GEN_MAPSTORE_2

Hi, I have this error "ERR_GEN_MAPSTORE_2" with a clientcrash every time I try to enter GTA online either from the Story-mode or from the Steam-launcher...

I couldn't find any Infos on this Error, can anybody help me with that?

yes I did that yesterday, no errors or files to replace were found...

Did you end up finding a solution for this? It's happening to me in 2019 :(

phew that's a long time ago... I think it got something to do with that I increased the grass draw distance manually... did you alter any graphic settings via ini-tweaks? then you can try to revert those.

well, i have this problem in 2021, checked all the files, searched the whole internet, nothing found

Have this same exact error, it worked once after I verify the game files but when I tried to load into GTA online at an different time it didn't work. The only thing different from anybody's game files is that I have the MaxLodDistance sent to three. Even then that too has been acting strangely too because after I verified my game files it stop loading textures from far away in story mode

Verify your files. Mine was exiting and crashing and it corrupted 4 files while doing this. There is constant streaming and disk access happening while playing and sometimes if it crashes these files get left in weird or corrupted states (crashing mid-write, etc). Verify game files will fix this.

easy fix - for anyone still suffering.. go to C:\Users\User\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles. open the folder and youll have your saves... drag your most recent save both file and .pak into a different folder. start up your game and it will open the last save before the one with the issue. make a new save. now keep the game open and go to the above mentioned path and youll see a new save with the same name as the one you moved. rename is by changing the last digit +1 for example SGTA50007 would be changed to SGTA50008. then add your old saves back. go back to game and then load up that save and it should work fine.. I'm Open to helping anyone who is still stuck

Found a better way to fix things since yours didnt work: close the game > empty the "scripts" folder in the GTA 5 directory (don't empty the recycle bin keep the files) > boot the game > play a little make a manual save > close the game > Go in the recycle bin recover to the deleted files and put them back in the GTA5 scripts folder > Its all fixed

Edit: Problem came back a bit later. Probably comes from "Open all interiors" anyway GL to all with this issue for now i'm playing without scripts

Thank you! Worked. Didn't even need to re-save after, reapplying deleted scripts folder

Necroing the thread to confirm that Open Interiors was the issue and always been. Cool little mod but back then a few years I remember having multiple issues stemming from this exact mod. (you need to remove the two Open Interiors files in your GTA V root folder to fix the issue and uninstall the mod)

For me it was Benny's Auto in SP causing the error, I removed that from scripts and the game loaded up fine.

getting this issue only wen loading into GTA Online, story works fine, no mods installed, verified, reinstalled, nothing works.
