VR would be perfect for this game!!!

VR would be an interesting addition to the game (Hawken works with the Rift DK1) but most likely would be a very low priority to the developers given the highly niche market it fulfills. Not to mention it'd be practically useless in higher tier games where movement is so fluid and fast that it'll probably give you nausea.

Hawken already has been tested on Oculous Rift

I do not think the developers need to create a new patch for it as the head setwill handle all of the view avaliable in the game. Now there are some games that are created for VR which involves all view an uses other devices or controller to supported it but i would prefer to use hawken with a regular controller.

No devs would be surpirsed if it gets real support maybe third party.

Although i do not have a VR, it would be amazing for people to play like that

The steam vr vive thing would be great for hwk if you could aim each weapon and fire them indepently. Plus if you could jump side to side for the dodge move and foward for thrust our pilots would get in shape and get thin.

Well less fluffy is more realistic

Vr would be nice for looking around your cockpit and really getting into the spirit of things lol

Hawken only works with DK1 of Oculus Rift. No further VR endeavours were pursued. It is possible in the future, but probably very, very low on the dev priority list because of said niche market.

@Silverfire In my opinion Vr will become as affordable as a game console anfd there are atl east 5 new headsets coming out soon!!! Support for VR will depend if there enough users which I'm predicting it wil I forsure will get one once it becomes more affordable

Judging by how both Oculus and HTC were overwhelmed by demand for their VR kits it's safe to assume that by the year's end there's going to be hundreds of thousands of Rift & Vive owners out there looking for games to play.

These are people with a lot of spending money... it would be worth the bother of adding SteamVR support.
