How do you "kill" someone?

Does that mean just drive them out of the house? Jump out window? I see that there is a different stat for killing someone than jumping out window....so...

There are specific characters (such as the diver, actor, chef, clown, etc.) that can die on the town stage. In order to kill them so you may play as their ghost you must reach a certain fear level, possess a specific item in the room they are in, and perfom the newly unlocked action now that the fear level has been reached. If a non-special npc simply jumps out a window this means you're doing a really good job of scaring people.
