PVE mission failed due PVP event

I was on PVE mission. Only one ship left to destroy. Suddently i was informed that PVP event start. I was flagged PVP, enemy ship became neutral, mission failed. It would be nice to let player choose stay PVE or switch to PVP.

Was your mission in the middle of the caravan or something? If so it sucks but yeah it happens

That sounds like the caravan. Game is focused on getting us to beat on each other, but getting sunk is pretty painless and the medallions skip a lot of materials grinding.
