Murderous balloon quest is broken

The quest functioned normally up to the objective "set off to see the hitman" at which point i didn't receive a quest marker. With the help of another player, I found her. im meant to shoot her down and talk to her, but the dockable wreckage doesnt spawn. the hitman is now respawning endlessly.
i appear to be softlocked. unable to progress...

forgot to mention: logging out and restarting the game did not fix the issue. attempted this many times.

hey! i saw the similar report somewhere. try to file a Report via ingame system: Main Menu -> Report. Devs may be able to fix it quickly in your broken profile.
