Stuck trying to find items to upgrade base to Tier II, Need HELP

I'm currently at 7/8 crew members(Tier III Boat), nearly every quest done that I can get my hands on and I dont have any other quests on the map I know about to complete to find these specific items so I can research the Tier one base upgrades.

I'm missing...
Superstructures Level 1 - Deep-Water Spike Fish
Basic Deck Superstructures - Welder
Basic Armor - Hydraulic Press
Energy Storage Level 1 - Engine Starter

About to drop this game cause im stuck with no way to progress this Tech tree and it's near impossible to find any information online about where or how to get these things.

The rest came from very clear quests from the NPCs in the base.

I was going to list all the quests I've done but it's well 75-100 so I'm not gonna do that.

Any help would be nice, kinda my last option at this point.

All four things you are missing are from the corresponding base upgrade quests. Look in your quest journal for these quests, maybe you have hidden them (closed eye symbol).

have you gone to the base and taken the quests? you cant just do the research you need to accept the quest for that research to get item you need for the research.

Go to your base. Click on your workers and talk to them. Then go to your tech tree and click on the box for that research. It should say 'start research' or something

Omfg you guys, thank you so much *face palm*. The amount of running around like a moron searching every corner was driving me nuts and all along it was that easy.

Teach me to take a long break from the game.

So yeah going to the tech tree and clicking "start research" was the freaking answer.
