Combo Frenzy Buff bugged?
I gain no charges when I electrocute/shock enemies. The tooltip say freeze, electrocute, or pin an enemy, but it does nothing. Yes I have it assigned spirit.

what skill are you using to try to proc it?

Cast on X skills were all just hit with massive nerfs, if you were relying on "Cast on Shock" then ya it's dead

i use combat frenzy with the talent resonance
Az Dec 11, 2024 @ 7:34pm
i think i find why its because they nerfed frezze af so we can't proc power anymore or maybe it's a bug but i think combat frenzy with resonance is dead

dont think this has anything to do with it. it simply does not gain any charges when you electrocute/shock enemies. the nerf doesnt apply to what I am talking about

i use cast on critical and after nerf still work a bit with a lot of %meta and a skill with 1s cast time

Not sure if you realized this, but electrocute =/= shock. Electrocute is a different ailment, and you would need to put a support gem into a lightning skill to proc electrocution. That builds combat frenzy purely from electrocution. Electric skills with chance to shock does not "electrocute". Electrocution ailment actually freezes them in place when it procs, and doing that is what gives the conversion to power, not shocking them. Shocking them just makes them more vulnerable.

However, If you are going to use that, you are probably better off with Freeze and stacking chance to freeze. Electrocution is okay for clearing, but It was way too slow to build for bossing. Unless I am missing something, and you can amplify Electrocution rate in the skill tree, I personally think its better to freeze for combat frenzy

Yea no, I thought that too. I read the tooltip and I was like, oh, I shock all the time, I should have infinite charges. Nope.

Open up your support gem gemcutting station, go to all gems, and search for electrocute. There are 2. Chance to electrocute and primed for electrocution. Those 2 support gems, when slotted on a lightning based skill, build electroctution. (its about 2-3 hits per trash mob fyi.)

But yea, like I said. I literally dropped a bell and tempest flurried a zone boss, killed him faster than I could get 30% electrocution on the boss. So.. if youre going to use it, use freeze with chance to freeze rather than electrocution, unless you find something that massively increases chance to electrocute.
