Past ARPGs, including PoE1, have trained us to think the campaign is nothing but a tutorial to get us into endgame. This is not the case in PoE2, from moments after character creation you are playing an actual game. Not a stepping stone to the actual game.

You need to learn boss mechanics, you need to choose your skills and skill points wisely and you need to use your items to craft better gear. This isn't like other ARPGs where you can just pickup whatever drops and just breeze through.

Hope this helps to shift some mindsets so people can understand what they're playing and have some fun.

It's my experience that playing with random people online is an aggressive form of cancer in my brain. If that's what people enjoy though then it's definitely something they should try.
