Rather than making concrete suggestions, I want to say something general here. I have seen a lot of bad / boring achievements in other games. This is a pity, because achievements can really add something valuable to the experience if done right.

The main point is that achievements should *make you play the game in a new way*, rather than being a pure grind.

For example, in many games you see achievements like these:
Killer: kill 500 enemies
Destroyer: kill 5'000 enemies
Terminator: kill 50'000 enemies

These are *bad* achievements, because they are pure grinds. They don't add anything to the experience. You just play exactly the same way you have been playing anyway, only longer.

Also *bad* are trivial achievements, e.g. "hacking an ATM for the first time", "completing your first research project" etc. These are not real achievements, because anyone who plays the game will get them anyway. In other words: There is no challenge involved. Such achievements are meaningless and don't add anything to the experience.

Good achievements will be a real challenge and they will make you try something new, usually something difficult that you would not have tried otherwise.

For example, good achievements are:
Uzi-Gang: finish the game using only Uzis.
Immortal: finish all missions in one District without losing an agent.
Hero: finish an entire mission using only one agent.
Cash Rain: blow up every ATM in the city without being caught by the police.

To give an example of a game with very creative achievement design, I'd like to mention the Binding of Isaac. It has a lot of clever and innovative achievements. For example, if you finish that game 10 times, you will get an achievement called "Everything is terrible", which has the effect that it makes the game harder. The reasoning is that after beating it 10 times, the player will have improved their skills so much that the game needs to "scale up" its difficulty. Many achievements are "unlocks", which wil add something new to the game. You also get a lot of achievements for finding secrets in the game.

+1 for unlocking through achievements.
> stealth achievement adds new access points and alleyways?
> kill # adds enemy unit type?
