Adding A Custom Company Logo
This is a feature that's been in a while but we forgot to actually tell you all about it.

When you're customising your company's logo and name at the start of the game we've given you the ability to add your own image to select.

Here's the basics on how to format your logo texture

Logo Image Format
  • PNG format
  • 100 x 100 pixels
  • Transparent background
  • The logo pixels should be white so that they are colourised properly when you select your company colour. No colour should be present in the image.

Getting Your Logo in Game
  1. Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\SatelliteReign\
  2. Create a folder called "logos"
  3. Place your PNG file in the new "logos" folder
  4. If all goes well you should see your company customisation screen should look like this[i.imgur.com]

You can download a template company logo here[i.imgur.com]

So can I update logo of my older saves?

I'm 99% sure you can just save over your existing image using the same filename

Not sure what you mean. Speak simple to me oh wise one ;)

[I have however gotten a new UN up with a logo of my own based on the OP instruction]

the user config files are just text files so you could hand edit it to have a new logo

Is there any reason other than performance/consistency you say it has to be 100x100 and white only? Any size seems to work (it resize automagically) and colors are working too....

Colours probably only work well if you choose white as your company colour. Otherwise I would expect the chosen colour to tint any colours in the custom logo.

Now, is there any way to choose custom colours? Because that's what I would like.

EDIT: I found the cfg.xml file that handles the company logo and colour in Linux:

home/<Linux-name>/.local/share/SatelliteReign/users/<Player-name>

The agents look pretty cool up close when the colour is black, but when zoomed out it doesn't matter, particularly considering the coloured bars above their heads, and the 'select all agents' button looks like it's just filled with black unless there happens to be a particularly bright spot behind the logo. So I guess neon is the way to go after all. But now I'll have access to more variations than the 12 colours we get to choose from by default.

Curious about the Folder location for Mac, the location given does not seem to exist?!
Gillsing Sep 15, 2015 @ 3:26am
I tried home/.local/share/SatelliteReign/logos for Linux, but that didn't seem to work. At first I also tried having the logos folder in the same folder where the screenshots turn up.

EDIT: Turned out that I had to name the folder "Logos" instead of "logos" to make it work. Capital!

It exists, it's just hidden by OS X.

To get to it, use the shortcut Shift+Command+G from the desktop (or Go->Go to Folder.. when Finder is active) and then enter ~/.local/share/SateliteReign and press enter.

Also, keep in mind that the content of the folder is uploaded to Steam Cloud (if enabled)
