_Syndicate_, 1993
_Syndicate Wars_, 1996

Maybe _XCom Apocalypse_, if you put the combat in real-time mode. Recommend heavy use of overwatch and dual-wielding fully automatic weapons if you play it that way.

Maybe _Men of War Assault Squad 2_, depending on what exactly you mean by "like this".

Going further (or just differently) afield, games like _Commandos_ or _Jagged Alliance_ might interest you

If you like class-based teamwork game that encourages classes to work together to overcome levels, _Monaco_ is pretty close to it, tho it doesn't involve corporate espionage. If you prefer turn-based game, _Invisible Inc._ is not too dissimilar, gameplay-wise

The reviews were middling, but I really enjoyed _Project Eden_ for that sort of thing.

Yea Apocalypse is great with heavy overwatch and the stop and go was revolutionary to me.Should be used in all games.Choice being the operative word.Be interesting to see what TFTD is like with finished OpenXcom upgrade.Jullian Gollop is working on his new game and looks good. And Syndicate Wars original playstation is still great for me,I still play it occasionaly.

I second Invisible Inc. Great game with constant edge of your seat decisions.

From newer games, isn't Wasteland 2 some sort of turn based tactical rpg, like Fallout 1/2 meets Jagged Alliance. I've bought it but never played it.

It's more like computer rpg games from 90's, so it's "slow" and there's a lot txt dialogue.

Yeah, it is pretty much straight up CRPG with turn based tactics. Very similar to Fallout 1/2, because the Fallout 1/2 team were some of the same guys from Wasteland 1 in 1988.

Much of W2's value is sentementality and throw backs for people whom remember W1, but it is still a good game that stands on its own. Technology isn't ground breaking, but so many "modern" games are throw backs to older formulas where games were simpler yet richer.

I do not own these games, but wouldn't "Dwarves" and "The Masterplan" also be sorta like Satellite Reign? I am also looking for games like Satellite Reign. It would seem to be that Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun also has a lot of similarities to it, although this one is not Open World.

I just bought Wasteland 2 in a humble bundle (steam key). Good to know that it has some elements. But I would surely prefer the cyberpunk setting of Satellite Reign, I find it very well done.

I tried the Shadow Tactics demo, but it only frustrated me how stealth was enforced when I want the freedom to choose between stealth and violence. Open world isn't as important as open solutions. And the stealth mostly consisted of trial and error, because I found it impossible to tell how to solve a lot of those stealth puzzles on the first try.

UFO : Aftermath and those games are kinda old but pretty neat games that got their similarities to Satellite reign. And if ur not too much interested in the graphics you should check out Syndicatre and Syndicate wars like stated earlier here. They are the original games from this one

Tower of Time is going out of early access and it has a lot of similarities to Satellite Reign.

I also see this on the Steam "Similar to This" list: http://store.steampowered.com/app/319740/There_Came_an_Echo/

It looks to be setup for voice command, but I think you can also play it with traditional keyboard and mouse.

My team an I are working on a real time tactics game similar to Satellite Reign. The project is called Delphyq - (www.delphyq.com). There's a playable demo on the website. it's scheduled to be early access later this year. :)

For some reason Valve Blocked this link as "potentially malicious". Your game seems very interesting, but the sad part is that platforms announced are "PC, Mac". Do you plan on having a Linux port? I'd enthusiastically support your game if so.

That looks hot.
