do you hate yourself?
Exactly, WOTC is more like an expansion in many ways - some of the best DLC out there. If people are not willing to pay for it - that's their loss.
Yes the game for me was well worth full price. Never mind a discounted one.
I felt the 2 DLC alien hunters and Shen' s was a little over priced but we're great editions none the less.
The expansion WoTC again was entirely worth the full price.
So a complete edition for $50 is a bargain in my book.

Be aware Xcom is not everyone's cut it tea. It doesn't hold your hand and it punishes you for mistakes. Many people don't like that sort of play.
Also it's a turn based game so it's slower with no real action than that which you make for yourself.
Lastly don't expect RPG levels of story. It's barebones to just give lore context. Again the story is yours to tell to yourself.
WOTC won't have the DLC, it is just WotC. DLC are bundled with the reinforcement pack I believe.
So wait to get more bang for your buck. If money isn't an issue then grab it, its a great game.
There are not too many TB strategy games floating around in the market so if you like games of this genre, XCOM 2 is a no brainer.
But get the game, and the other DLC:s think of this game as one big game of chess, you need to use your brain and outsmart the enemy.
You can easy sink in several of hundreds of hours in it.
