no gpu can run this game at locked 60
http://youtu.be/FPfmi-jcAg4
Mine runs it at about 40-60 there or thereabouts. 780GTX.
But again that's not the point of this thread.
the game looks more cinematic this way xD
And we've told you flawlesswidescreen program removes black bars , fixes aspect ratio and increases fov . It's true 1080p , we can see it and it plays fine on just a 1.5 gb card .
Even if you had 4gb vram the black bars would still be there at 1080p resolution , doesn't remove it . Black bars have nothing to do with vram .
But again to make my point clearer it is possible to play and see full 1080p just use Flawlesswidescreen. Even without a 4gb card .
You're still missing the point.
I know how to fix the letterboxing but it's a hack, and one Bethesda do not support as it can cause certain information/prompts not to be shown as they use the borders as background.
My point is officially that's why Bethesda said you can't use 1080P, because of the letterboxes which are SUPPOSED to be there. You can remove and see the full 1080P but Bethesda do not support that. AT ALL.
They support 60FPS issues but not removal of borders.
And I didn't say black bars had ANYTHING to do with VRAM either.
I hope I've made myself clear here as I ain't explaining it again!
i guess they wanted to save pixels on the consoles ;p
Bethesda didn't even say you wont "see" full 1080p because they will slap on black bars to downsample the image, they said the option to enable 1080p resolution will literally be "locked" or "Greyed" out if the game detected you dont have 4GB VRAM..
You are saying we cant see full 1080p because the black bars are there covering half the screen and that its Bethesda's intention if a 4gb card wasn't detected, and you think this is how Bethesda is limiting you from seeing 1080p when its not the case at all. The black bars are unrelated.
Bethesda's claim for 1080p being locked has everything to do with VRAM. They said you wont be able to select 1080p AT ALL if you didn't have 4GB VRAM, not that half your screen would be covered by black bars if you didn't have 4GB VRAM.
On top of that the black bars are still there even if you did have 4GB VRAM. Now if what you say is true, that without 4GB VRAM we wont be able to see full 1080p because of black bars, why do they still exist even with a 4GB VRAM card!?
You see how you dont make sense now?
Again they said 1080p option will literally be locked out, greyed out, cant select it at all, if a 4GB VRAM card wasn't detected. Which is not the case at all.
so i wont be able to play this game at 1080p with a 780ti ? what a pice of ♥♥♥♥ thanks god i only paid $37 for this garbage
You misread my posts lol. Bethesda's claimed before release that 1080p will be locked if you dont have 4GB was a flat out lie. Because you can select 1080p even on a 1.5GB card.
Op is saying you're not seeing full 1080p and that its what Bethesda meant when they said you wont be able to play 1080p without 4GB VRAM as they will lower resolution using black borders. Again that is not the case because what Bethesda meant was that 1080p option will literally be locked out if the game detected you dont have 4GB VRAM, and was that the case? nope, 1080p completely selectable on lower VRAM cards. Ontop of that black borders are still present even with a 4GB VRAM card detected so black borders are not there to downsample your resolution because of VRAM limitation, like op is suggesting, nope.
For the last d*mn time I am NOT REFERRING TO OTHER RESOLUTIONS. You're bringing in rebuttal to arguments I'm not making. I KNOW the bars are there for ALL RESOLUTIONS regardless of VRAM amount.
I am simply pointing out that the reason they discussed 1080P as not being viewable below 4GB VRAM is due to the borders. That is factual and beyond despute. Those borders stop you seeing the whole picture.
The fact that those borders are there for all resolutions is besides the point.
I believe Nvidia/AMD paid Bethesda to make that announcement to sell a few of their 4GBVRAM cards, with Bethesda well aware they weren't needed to run the game as intended.
This really is my last post on it, and if you still think you're right and I'm wrong or whatever, so be it.
