Age of Mythology: Extended Edition

Don't buy this game! At least not now...
Really .. don't!

I really liked AoM, and i'd love to play it again with Steam. But almost 30 € for a "recycled" game? Are you serious? Don't support such a ridiculous price policy. And especially if you have to pay that much money in advance.

Wait until it is released and until it reaches a reasonable price! Show Microsoft that they can't do whatever they want with their customers. Show them, that you are not willing to pay every price, just because you want that game now. Show them, that it takes more to just bring an old game to the year 2014, in order to demand and justify such a pricing.

Another reason to wait for the release: If the porting is as bad as the one from AoEII:HD, then this game is not even worth 5 €. We don't need another buggy, lagging and frustrating porting of our loved classic games. Don't award such a bad work with spending money up front.

Until then: Rethink that pricing Microsoft!

There wil be new maps, workshop content, achievements, treaty mod, read at all the new effects like HD!! for crying out loud!!:boomer:... Global lightning, imagine when someone casts Hera ulti ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lightning strikes form out of the Fog of war, new everything and now its only like $9 more. Dude just go read about how it is going to be like than we will talk cuz this game was the hit in 2002 and will be again if there is going to be all of witch Microsoft is talking about:d2naturesprophet:

I really hope that there are new campaigns/maps. So i hope that the "New in the Extended Edition" list is incomplete, as it doesn't say that there's new content, only enhanced features.

Taking inflation into account, at release the original AoM would have cost you around $26 US today, and this comes with an expansion that wasn't a part of that price. The streaming integration and observer enhancements are trying to bring out the tournaments and competitive side of the game, but I don't really care about that. What's most important to me is an active multiplayer community focused in one place - not spread out over 3 or 4 like it is right now with the original game. Also, one of the Microsoft community members has confirmed that they're testing out scenario compatability from the old version, so that's a bonus.
You're entitled to your opinion, but to me this is worth it :terraria:

I liked the original AoM, I'm going to like this AoM and I've already pre-purchased. If you like it then buy it and if you're put off by the price then don't. Theres tonnes of games I like but don't buy due to the price but I don't go smothering my opinions on pricing all over their community hubs, just keep it to yourselves, people may read it but NOBODY regards your opinion in their decision making when the game hasn't even been released yet as you have no more information than anyone else.

Well I had CSGO crates sitting in my inventory, so I sold them then bought TF2 keys to trade for someone who bought a 4 pack. If you can find similar deals to what I had, no reason not to pick the game up if you loved AOM.

this game isnt even expensive and its not $30
original perry Apr 9, 2014 @ 10:59am
There's no new official maps or expansions planned, but like I said it's confirmed they're testing out compatability with old scenarios

You do know Alienware produce the hardcase for computer and NONE of the pieces inside.
And Steam doesn't produce computer systems.
