Good point. The game is called Into the Dark for a reason, but some monitors / TVs that have "contrast boost" or some other Voodoo can make it TOO dark.

1. Look for your "Into the Dark" folder in

Steam\SteamApps\common on your PC (location depends on your library location)

2. Go to the folder

into-the-dark\Files\scriptbank

3. Open the file "pitchzero.fpi" in Notepad

There you find the values

:state=0:ambience=7,ambiencered=7,ambienceblue=5,ambiencegreen=5

4. Change the 7 from ambience to 12 or 17, save.

Start into the Dark.

5. Keep in mind that you have to repeat that if we upload a new patch!

Launcher now allows configuration of brightness (for those who want to know the exact script detail: 8 - 16 - 24 are the settings offered by the launcher).
