Dead Rising 3 Crossfire profile
OK I just found a Crossfire profile which works for Dead Rising 3.

Use the Skyrim TESV profile.

At 3840 x 2160 with the FPS unlocked it increases from 45fps to 76fps.

If anyone could post a Nvidia profile that works, post it here too. Id like to try out some configs.

I'm using RadeoPro1.1.1.0 and can't find Skyrim TESV for corssfirex profile. What program are you using?

Just using the inbuilt CCC Crossfire profiles. Works for me.

I didn't really see any difference when I used the Skyrim profile. I'm using 2x R9 290x. I'm getting like 60-90 outdoors, with obvious dips into 50s at least where I was testing regardless of two vs one card.

Perhaps it only helps for 4K then which would be more GPU limited, here is screenshots proving the diffrence...

At least for normal 1080P gaming it seems like using a single card is more consistent for now, not sure though. :-P

Can you walk me through how to use this on the CCC 14.7 software?

Open CCC
Gaming
3D application settings
Add on the left hand side
Goto where your deadrising3.exe is
Under the AMD CrossfireX section
Change it to use AMD pre-defined profile
search or find TESV in the profile list and select it
Click save on the bottom right

Done.

Thank you, I should have waited a few minutes and figured it out myself. I just got done testing it. I'm running two HD6950's on a single display, and this gives me some strange results, I'm running over 90fps when I'm not looking at anything gfx intensive, then on the gfx intense scenes where you actually want crossfire to help, I'm going back down to 20-23fps. Although this profile certainly did something as crossfire before never got past 45fps, and performed worse in some of the more intense areas.

The skyrim profile didn't work for me either but I'm just trying a few others to see what happens.

I can confirm that these profiles do not work on my setup which is 3 x 290X Tri-X OC cards :

TESV
MetroLL
Heaven
Fear
Deadrising
Crysis2
Crysis3
DeadIsland

I'll add to the list as I go through it.

I get constant 60fps (V-Sync On) when I have crossfire turned off completely but when it's on I get around 45fps, even lower when the brown stuff hits the fan, or red stuff as is the case for this game. lol, you gotta love the steam roller :)

Well I love my setup and the fact that I have invested close to £5,000 on it is totally down to personal taste. It's about aesthetics as well as performance for me and most games are able to be run with small workarounds. I'd rather have that power than not and I can simply turn off a couple of cards if a game has issues with them.

Ultra smooth framerates (60fps with V-Sync on) and supersampling are where higher end pc gamers should be aiming for at minimum with everything on Ultra. Once you've tasted it you'll never settle for less.

Jesus... you're telling me this game doesn't even have basic crossfire support? Wow....

Another profile to try is the 1-iw6sp64.exe profile. Haven't found any better ones yet.

Thanks buddy I'll try that now. DeadIsland profile was useless.
