That's what I was thinking. I assume it is, as there's no dialouge throughout the course of the game. The art style is also similar.

Yes, this game is similar to Machinarium; you must solve puzzles to advance. Also, the game graphics (just as in Machinarium), are simple but of a good quality. I have to say the devs did a pretty good job with thier first game. So yes, if you liked Machinarium, you'll like this game as well.

Not their first game.
By the creators of "Deponia" series, "The Whispered World" and "Edna & Harvey - The Breakout"

Daedalic created those games (germans), this game is created by some Slovakia guys

Correct, Daedalic is just the publisher not the developer.

definitely not as good as machinarium, also way too easy and short. i do not recommend.

very diferent from Machinarium, in terms of gameplay, art style, overall atmosphere. but yes, it's also hand-drawn and it's also point-and-click game

From the trailer I didn't think it looked very different. However, the artwork in Machinarium is more detailed than this games artwork. And I would agree it's not developed by the creators of those games mentioned above as it only says this game is "presented by" them.

Is the story fairly simple to understand and doesn't deal too much with adult themes? Looking for something a young child (who loves Machinarium) to play.

I have played for a couple of hours, and I see it as a clean game so far. I would think it is quite safe for children. Also, the game has a simple story - some of the puzzles will be challenging, but not overly so.
