[Dev] Issues with Special Edition Hull Plates on Cyclops

Hi guys, I've created this thread to have somewhere centralised to discuss any issues that are occurring with Special Edition hull plates now that the Cyclops has been released. Lukas and I will attempt to diagnose any issues you post here, and I've linked this thread from the news posts about the Cyclops update.

Update (12 Feb): Lukas and I have been going through the backend searching for the issue. We've confirmed that some people who have correctly entered their Steam IDs do not have hull plate's showing up in the inventories.

We've started by writing several automated testing routines. This routines try to identify problems between our "Item Server" and Steam's own Steam Economy servers. The Item Server is the server that records your Steam ID, hull plate number, and date of purchase. So far, these routines have turned up no issues, which means we need to keep hunting for the problem in other ways.

This is not an acceptable situation, and the most likely explanation at this point is that we have made some subtle error in our implementation of the interface between the Steam Economy and our Item Server.

We're also discussing if it's appropriate for us to keep selling Special Edition at this time, given we can't pin down why some (but not all) of you are not receiving what you've purchased in a timely manner. Regardless of that decision, we will not leave this issue alone until we have solved the problem, and everyone who purchased Special Edition is able to place their Hull Plate on the bulkhead of a Cyclops submarine.

Same here. I've tried both the experimental branch and the public/official.

Things I've tried.

• New Game

• Spawning Cyclops

• Making cyclops from constructor

• Collecting 2 metal

• Giving 2 metal from commands

• And onboard the cyclops

Naturally with all this as always, the result is the same. The option to create the hullplate is missng.

I am however able to spawn the hullplate via commands. But I cannot place it in my inventory due to the way it's set up. And so it spawns anywhere near me when trying spawn or item command :p Also I've noticed the hullplate is not actually removable.

Is there any chance we can actually have the ability to move it around at some point? Because should you accidentally place it where you don't want it, its kinda disappointing :<

I am like Belial. I bought Subnautica via the Humble Widget yesterday and followed the instructions and entered my Steam ID on the form, but no sign of the Hull Plate 24 hours later in my Steam Inventory.

I bought the special edition during December and still haven't gotten it. I can prove it with screens from the Humble Bundle.

Had it in game. Installed on my sub, gamer crashed, hull plate blueprint gone from game now.

Update: I found exo suit fragments and put them in the container to discover the blueprint. Once it was done my hull plate appeared.

I also can't find my hull plate under the "Submarine" tab in-game.

I bought the game from the Humble Bundle widget a while ago but didn't clame it until last week, and it still hasn't shown up in the game.

Also, when we place the hull plate can we get it back? Like if we make a new game? (sorry for dumb question :C)

The plate will never vanish it's in your steam inventory so you can place it in all the new games you want.

Bought Subnautice Special Edition on 2015-01-02 (CET) and completed the 'Subnautica Hull Plate Form' right away. But the Hull Plate is still not in my steam inventory.

Try checking your steam inventory if you have not done so. The devs check and send them every week I believe ^^ Sometimes it does not notify you that you were given the hullplate.

I have mine. But blueprint does not show up for me ingame =/

A family member of mine purchased the special edition for me, though the internet browser decided to go nuts at the time and ended up accidentally ordering 2 copies (the extra of which was refunded, so that's not an issue). But I don't know if that could've messed up me getting my hull plate. Just posting in this thread to make sure I can get mine.
