Sub Zero is built off the same core as the original Subnautica.
It's very safe to assume that any major features (such as VR support) will carry over into Sub Zero.

I think they meant Sub Zero, that big Sumo stalker in the running man!

Right now VR is in, but slightly broken due to a number of code changes.

We're hopeful to keep it working, but we've not decided about VR yet.

Good to know.
Looks like there's more UI changes coming than I anticipated.

Best of luck!

I would buy the Subzero straight away with VR support. Especially if Motion controllers are supported too. It is a Shame to play such a game with controllers only.
Massive Bugs prevented that i play Subnautica in VR mode which is one absolutely beautyfull game. But VR suck. Performance wise and that you are not able to set the character to the right position so it fails. However i will not give up the hope that the devs are able to correct this in the next release.VR is a good sales decision because th VR community is growing every day since VR equipement has become affordable and is alrayde blow 200 bucks.
Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks for the info on this! I really hope you guys include VR, aside from Elite I think Subnautica was the only real game that makes VR shine. It was such an amazing experience and I waited to play until it was out on Vive and loved it. In my Vive Pro it looks even better and I can't wait for Sub Zero so I hope you guys do VR there too.

Thank you guys for an amazing game.

guys you really need to support VR in this title. This is one of those games that once you play in vr imo you just cant go back. Is there any update on this and whether you have made a decsion yet?

thanks

Long player of Subnautica. VR mode looks incedible; in VR I started to notice small details I didn't before - I'd say swiming around in VR is better than non-VR. However, VR in the vehicles just didn't work for me (did not play through till the end in VR because of this); and the PDA interaction was a bit lacking (OK but did not take advantage of VR).

I would love Sub Zero to be in VR and have more intuitive controls.

If the Subnautica (original) improved its interface, and improved on the Vehicle experience, this game would be one of the top tiered VR games (If its not already (I don't know the numbers)).

Please support VR! The game is so much better in VR.

I won't play the original in anything but VR. Once you enter that world in VR, you don't want to experience it any other way. I sincerely hope that VR is in this sequel and that motion controller support is included...it makes it 10x better than a regular controller. One of my fav games especially in VR. Please, Please, Please keep VR in this franchise!

I truly Hope you guys improve and support it. Subnautica is, and has been my favorite VR title and I struggle to play it outside of VR. I have been so excited for SubZero, but if VR is canned, I will be very disappointed.
