Interior Growbed on the Cyclops
Is this a sustainable source of food and water for the Cyclops? I have one built in the central room between the Decoy Launcher and Seamoth access, and I filled it with a bunch of Marblemelons. My general plan is that with this I won't need to stock the Cyclops with fish or water, clearing up storage for carrying cargo and spare power cells. I've been using them as my primary food and water source for a little while now at my base in the Shallows, and so I just think that it should work for the Cyclops as well. Are there any problems with this?

The only problem with that is space, as in getting around the growbed to get to the rear of the cyclops.

Some people use the small planters to get around this problem.

i have an aquarium, its a low profile, just takes dropping a grav trap outside before i harvest to have all the fishies i need for food AND organic power gens by the time i come back, but the bulbo trees are pretty key for water, the 'chic' planter seems to have the smallest footprint?

Fish will stay perfectly viable inside a box if you do NOT cook them. Also, the big growbed has a tendancy to... em... throw you outside the Cyclops if you get up on it even by accident. That can be a bit nasty in some places. Putting 4 marblemelons into a small planter works perfectly because you get 4 seeds by cutting one, and get 3 to eat. Plant a couple Bulbo trees and a lantern tree and 3 or 4 pots with marblemelons and you're golden.

yup its very sustainable throw is in bulbo that gives you about equal ammount of food and water
just dont forget to keep 4 seeds to replant, as alternative you also place one latern tree, you dont have to replant it, you get 10+ fruits out of it but it gives only +3 water wich is a shame

I always use 3 planters with Bulbo trees in them. They don't take up much space, and easily give you an infinite source of food and water. The only downside is that bulbo seeds are not good for traveling as they spoil extremely quickly, but if you're just consuming them on the spot, they are a low maintenance source of food and water.
