The game starts up fine - but loading the actual game crashes instantly and closes. The game was available for Windows, Mac, and Linux via Steam for 15% off at $16.99 USD when I bought the game in 2015.

well, the game is released to linux, but at least in MESA, the game do not work, it crashes in end of the new game loading and it was never fixed
IIRC, i did see some fglrx successful reports but also some nvidia crashes.
either a bug in the game for opengl drivers or a mono/.net but without developer support its hard to fix
