What's the point of "kickstarter trinkets"? Don't they ruin the game?
I just found out that you can just type (enter button) and the name of the trinket and these overpowered trinkets will just spawn in your inventory. So far, these trinkets are easily 2x or 3x more powerful than the most powerful trinket that I have ever seen drop.

Does learning how to spawn these trinkets equal learning how to play the game? Is there some type of incentive to not use these trinkets? Everybody has been complaining that this game is too hard (while nobody points out the obvious elephant in the room, just spawn your own OP trinkets like us normies.)

Just example of a kickstarter trinket:
Name: Da powar
Stats: +10acc, +10%dmg, -30% trap disarm chance while camping

So, what trinket in the game is better than this one (that you can get early in the game)?

Another one,
Name: Starbreaker
Stats: +12spd, -29% healing skills on first round

Kickstarter trinkets are just some fun little additions to the game incase you find it too hard or want to screw around. It's completely optional, heck, most people don't even notice it, and if you want to play legit, you can just not spawn some in. They're like mods - Yes, you could create an absurdly powerful, godly Class that does 100 DMG and has a 200% Chance to crit, as well as a constant +40 Acc buff, 80% PROT, 200 HP, and 200 Dodge, but what's the point? You'd get tired of it anyways, and if you really want to do it, it's not even that hard. Hell, you could just create a trinket at any time if you wanted EASILY. I mean, in about 2 minutes, you could create +300% DMG, +400 ACC, +500% PROT, +200 SPD, +800% everything else.

Kickstarter Trinkets are NOT mods.

They are NOT hacking the game.

THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME.

I would understand if they required activating a mod, because most games do not reward achievements while playing a modded game.

Don't use them if you don't want them. I didn't even know they existed until last week.

Well, I'd argue part of playing the game is the achievement of beating a very difficult game on the hardest mode. Now, Stygian mode is easy as smurfing hell, because you can spawn the "I WIN" trinket.

TL;DR, This game is for carebears now. Too Freakin Easy!

The key word here is *can*. You CAN spawn in the trinkets, in the same way you CAN just not spawn them in, there is literally 0 means of making you use them, and function more or less identically to mods in that they are an entirely optional means of changing your own gameplay experience. Being made by the Devs doesn't have a bearing on this as you have to manually look up and spawn in the trinkets you want. If you don't want to use them, then don't. What skin is it of your nose if someone else, in a single player game, does?

^^That example depends on the game. Give me a specific example, and what the cheat provided.

Well, in Starcraft you could type in "power overwhelming" and make your units all 100% invulnerable for the map. There were equivalents for all sorts of other games. All guns. Infinite Ammo. Invincibility. 1 hit kills on all enemies. Being able to type something in and getting some abnormally strong or wonky gear instantly is hardly unique. I mean, maybe a bit of a throwback to the old days of cheat codes, before strong, bonus gear was bundled as a pre-order bonus or DLC content. (Hey, Fallout 3, why would I want to be given extra shotguns and stuff at the start of the game? Did you think I bought the game so quickly because I wanted to have an easier version to run through?)

Or, hell, if we want to get into just "Open a thing, type, thing happens" see: Every single console command in any game that permits them. A few pieces of easter egg gear isn't even worth mentioning. It's not like there's some cosmic force that obligates you to type that stuff in. And even if it does, you don't then have to use it. And even if you do... They're certainly GOOD, but I don't feel like they'll be snapping game balance over one knee by the time you get to the mid game. And maybe people would like to be able to ramp through the early missions faster. And if they do they could use those...

But if that's not your thing, don't complain when you flip to the back of this month's copy of Nintendo Power and find out that, in fact, cheat codes exist in your game of choice =P

God mode and No Clipping for the original Doom 1 & 2. Made you invicible and let you walk through walls.

Maybe you are young enough to have never heard of cheat codes, or the Konomi code. That one worked in a few games, not just Contra.

So, if the game comes with God Mode. Why hide it? Shouldn't it be one of the options at the beginning of the game, like a difficulty game menu. Well?

1st) Claim that achievements are meaningless
2nd) Claim that you beat the game (while using the above cheats, of coarse).
3rd) Check Charliechuckleberry's achievements, and claim they mean something.

I get it... Nothing to see here folks, moving on now.

FYI, I do have a full group of level 6's if you bothered to view any of my videos :) I had a full roster of level 6's two years ago and took a long break, because it was too much of a "boring" grind to gear them up.

They're cheat codes. What's the big deal? You can mod the game and cheat if you want. Don't do it if you don't like it.

Some people do like it. Some people put pineapple on pizza. Let the savages have their fun.

The game does not "come with godmode" just because the were cheat codes for it. Sometimes they were leftover development tools, sometimes they were meant to be secrets that you could unlock after beating the game. The whole fun about cheats was that they were a secret that everybody knew about.
And no, they were not part of how the game was meant to be played.

The Backer-Trinkets are similar.

If they bother you just dont use them.

It bothers me when people say things like:
