You never know though, they might do some re-mastered versions of them. Both those titles were made by Treyarch (WaW, Black Ops 1, 2 and 3), they may do a release like COD4 re-mastered, however it's going to be a while until Treyarch release another COD title (Nov 2018).
You could have a ratch around for a PS3 Emulator and find the game for the PS3 Emulator.
I'm not saying everybody should have everything. I'm saying all main/cannon CoD games are on PC, except for the CoD 3.
The games you mentioned, although it's be good to have them on PC, are merely spin-offs.
It's weird and frustrating to have Call of Duty 1, United Offensive, 2, WAW, MW 1, MW 2, MW3, BO 1, BO 2, BO 3, Advanced, Infinite, Ghost and WWII but not...Call of Duty 3.
Or getting the consoles they were released on helps too, cod 3 being the easiest to acquire because it was released on every main stream home consoles at the time, plus, the 360 version can be played on the xbox one, (gamecube was discontinued in 2006 because the wii came out) and cod waw: final fronts being the hardest because, like i said before, it's only released on the ps2, and nothing else. (once again, the original xbox could've been an option too, but they discontinued it too, even though xbox live on that console was still being supported for a few more years)
Call of Duty 3 was made by Treyarch, but they were already pressured with the release of Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. Therefore Treyarch had a shorter amount of time to make a game for next gen consoles at the time. Because of this, they had to scrap the PC version. Simple as that not Activisions fault or maybe it was!! Because Cod 3 didnt make not enough proffit to Activison or Treyarch?? Anybody who knows about "with the proffit"??
That's not the point, I know I could use RPCS3 or anything else, I'm talking about getting the actual entire franchise/collection on Steam.
Also own all CoD parts in my Steam library, except Cod 3 & now BO4 too.
But that Cod 3 isn't on Steam is a shame.
It belongs to the series and therefore also to the collection and should also be available on Steam to complete it, just for the nostalgic.
Unfortunately, CoD is too for-profit, so this probably won't happen.
At least I can play it on PS2 but it's not the same and feels incomplete.
But I believe that Bo4 will appear on Steam in the future as the other cods have followed in recent years.
I have a soft spot for the other console exclusives, 'Finest Hour' and 'Big Red One' too, and it would be great to play them again as well!
This is already a reality for the DOS classic games. Nightdive Studios and a a few other companies had a wide vision and right now, I say they deserve all the credit in the world. I agree that COD 3 and Big Red one should be ported to PC, but it all comes down to marketing results, who does better, who does worse, or who has the most devotion to the old games.
