The mod dosen't have support for the Linux platform, so it won't download

I'm going to guess that the only reason this mod isn't available for linux is because the mod author hasn't checked the box in the Steam Store settings. As pointed out, Half Life (all versions) have been ported to linux by Valve, so all mods for Half Life should work on linux.

Last part isn't quite correct, because any mod that has dlls will need to be built for Linux
