BETA Early Access Release Notes
Hello everybody!

JD here, Xaviant's new Community guy. Michael's doing a bit of travel today and asked me to post this on his behalf. We know there's much anticipation for our Beta Early Access release coming Monday, so here's an idea of what to expect next week :).

What's New in the Beta Build
NOTE: This update invalidates all save data from previous builds.

New Feature: New Game Plus
The game doesn’t stop when you defeat the last boss. Unlock New Game Plus mode and play on as long as you like. Tackle challenging new objectives and earn new tiers of loot to craft the most powerful spells ever.

New Feature: Sigil Powers
Each Sigil has an inherent power that harnesses the energy of rare Apocalypticals. Learn to execute them and experience Flame Walls, Arc Lightning, and more exciting new spells.

Major Performance Optimizations
We have put a tremendous amount of effort into improving performance on low- and high-end hardware. We are modifying our minimum and recommended system specifications to reflect this.

Crafting System Improvements
The Crafting UI has had a significant overhaul focused on legibility and ease of use. We’re not done yet, but Crafting new spells has never been easier or more rewarding.

Synthesis System Overhaul
Synthesis has been reconfigured and rebalanced to allow you to make meaningful choices when you run across items you don’t want to use for crafting. A new Reforge feature lets you drop unwanted items into a magical slot machine that give you a chance at Legendary loot with minimal fuss.

UI Improvements
Most of the menus and Heads-Up Display elements have had a major overhaul. This work is still in progress, but just about everything looks better, runs faster, and is easier to use.

Balance Improvements
A big round of balance has been applied to spells, AI, loot stats, and drop rates. We’re getting closer to our launch targets, but more work is coming.

Official support for Crossfire and SLI
Users with multiple graphics cards should now see significantly improved performance compared to a single card without graphical anomalies.

Official support for Eyefinity multi-display setups
Although there are some known issues that we are working on, users with 3X1 Eyefinity display setups should be seeing good results.

That's really humbling feedback guys. I know the team scours these forums and really appreciates kind messages like this. It reminds us all why it's worth all the sweat and tears that go into making games.

i played so many games (still am) and had seen different ways game developers created theirs, also I recently graduated with an IT degree, so I do understand how challenging developing a game from start to end, and to further enhance it even better, you guys are doing super great.. what I appreciate the most is, your development team "listens" to end users and accepted criticisms, feedbacks, etc.. thank you for doing that, I cant wait for next week beta to see what will be the changes so far.. thanks again..
good and bad feedbacks needs to be greatly appreciated, these are the backbones of making/doing things right and to make the game even more better..

I have to say, out of all of the early access games I've taken part of, this one's been showing the quickest improvements and the most gameplay available, combined with still listening to the end users. Thumbs up and such!

Considering the shocking level of polish the alpha has had, I can't wait to see the improvements you guys bring to beta. Looking forward to this.

Awesome update! Can't wait for it!

Just one thing, is the position (height) of the hands going to change? I don't like being a midget..
Rixas 20 Jul, 2014 @ 8:40pm
Will the Beta release have all the available levels from the official release game?
Cyony 21 Jul, 2014 @ 12:18am
Are we going to see any patch notes soon? Or a patch schedule? Can't wait to test out the beta!
Rixas 21 Jul, 2014 @ 1:00am
Any expected time frame for when the patch will drop?
JD_2020 21 Jul, 2014 @ 6:31am
@Toms.fr - It's better to think of it in terms of "balance." I'm not sure of exactly what values changed where, but I know this Beta has had a substantial balancing pass done on all sorts of fronts, including spells. Nerfing isn't always the answer, sometimes you can achieve balance by tweaking some other numbers as well.

But definitely let us know how all your favorite spells feel after this pass hat comes out today :).
