Bound VIllage Issues
Hello, I am searching for any help regarding the "Bound Village Issues", or alternatively a way to disable the mechanic for good, as it is making my city utterly worthless. Some time ago I captured a new city "Poros" and as it is with war the bound villages were shortly after raided. This of course gave a hit to prosperity, food and loyalty, but that happened with the other town I captured as well. I did however notice a different buff that the raided villages one, "Bound Village Issues", but figured it was probably a biproduct of the raided villages as well. When the villages had been running at full capacity for some time, I could see that the debuff was still there however, and only worse than before, -5 to prosperity and a big hit to loyalty as well. I figured it let thing calm down (peace had been established some time prior to this) and it would figure itself out. But it didn't, it actually kept getting worse, up to 7 or even 8 at times. I turned to google for answers and read that it was notables in bound villages's quests that was causing the problem, no big deal, I'll just get them done. I thought :(. Every time I returned from one, one and many times two more would have popped up, and I thought I'd just keep doing it and it would stabilize... I am now at 3 quests, one of which I cannot actually take due to negative relation, but I'm still taking -8 to prosperity, and another -1 for "Bound Settlement Issues". If you own a town, you'll know that a constant 7-8 negative debuff to prosperity is detremental, and absolutely abolishes the prosperity of the town in question. Another consequence of the "Bound Village Issues" is the loyalty debuff, which means even if I make the daily task the loyalty buff, and pay the 500d a day to boost it, it will still only decrease, and this of course results in further -1 to prosperity from loyalty, so, -10 prosperity... each day. This city will be an impossible task to keep, as I did village quests for around 2 months (ingame time) straight, no breaks apart from food, literally all I did were quests, I'd even get companions working on some, so I could sometimes do 2 at the same time, but without any luck. I'm quite desperate at this point, as my city has already lost around 1.5-2k prosperity in a very short amount of time, and is still rapidly decreasing.

I'd also like to point out that I own another settlement, "Amititys", and there is no problem what-so-ever, a 1-2 debuff to prosperity from time to time, but rarily any, and has no big effect on the city, despite me not having done a single quest for any of the villages bound to it.

I wanted to help, but I could only make it through about the fifth line of the Giant Freaking Wall of Text before my eyes went dim and my head started to hurt, so I gave up.

Do they not teach paragraphs in school any more?

My experience with these are that people often tend to have a lot of questions about all sorts of stuff, so to avoid that I just made sure to include all the information I have, I get your point, though.

I currently find some towns have death spirals like this when the villages have too many issues. No idea how to fix it, I suspect it could be a bug with missions generating too quickly.

TL;DR
I am taking massive losses to prosperity due to "Bound Village Issues", and doing the quests have no effect

Might be, as the game is still early in development, but I feel like someone else would have noticed, as the result, even with hard work, is a dirt poor city :(

there is a mod on the nexus that let's your governers take care of village bound issues so you don't have the massive income dips.

or you can use the mod that doubles your city productions (farming, security, etc.)

I've had the same issue with certain towns, though i can usually get ahead of it for a while. All i can suggest is to devote some time to doing nothing but quests (not 3-4, more like 10+) and see if you can complete them faster then new one's pop up. I can usually get down to no more than one issue being open that way, but if i leave to fight the war and come back an hour later the whole thing starts over again.

Pointless trying to do all the quests as in one or two days they will all be back. I am using the mod that lets governors deal with issues and every day there are issues that they solve.
It's a bit excessive when one town has got 7+ issues between it and it's villages.

Thing is, i don't use mods. Nothing against them, but until we get close to release I don't want to deal with them being broken every time a new patch hits. It's quite possible to keep prosperity and loyalty positive by doing the quests on a regular basis, which is better than watching your town go into an economic death spiral. Sort of boring (and i'm really sick of the caravan ambush quest), but it's not impossible to keep up with them.
Theres a known issue - I've mentioned a few times now - involving the bandit hunting quest that gives a -5 to prosperity. The devs are working on a solution but it wont be out til next patch (unless something changes). They did release new dev console commands in last patch devoted to altering settlement stats, I believe.

Id suggest using the dev console to cancel/resolve the quests and restore your prosperity to reasonable lvls. Check other settlements too and restore those if you're playing a long campaign cause these effects hit the functionality of the economy as a whole (as I understand it). EDIT: 3-4k prosperity is the general state of most towns at start.

^-- This.

It seems like the issue is a true "bug" so there's not going to be any way to find a work-around in normal gameplay mechanics.
