29.5. 2014 from 6 pm I can not connect to the server.
You do not know what it is? Is there a patch? Maintenance?
I'm allowed to game in the firewall.

Hello Wadds,

We're aware of this issue, it happens in cycles. Unfortunately what's happening is a DNS confliction with your ISP. We hope to resolve this problem with the next patch, but with anyone affected by this, your ISP will likely resolve the DNS issue with it's natural cycles in a 48 hour or so period.

I apologize for the inconvenience this causes you in the meantime.

Can this be somehow resolved by modifying the DNS? I wanted to buy the new pre-order packages so I can not: D befall it to the end of the event?

If your ISP doesn't naturally cycle it, you can use a VPN to emulate a different connection if you desire.

Not a silly question at all. I'm happy to help however I can. We hope to have these DNS issues resolved in the next patch which unfortunately is the Ascension Launch itself.

Cannot log in. And last time I was on, played 2 draft games and got 0 xp both times. Is this part of the connection problem? Hope it gets fixed soon.

ugh.... now I can log in, but the deck I was using in the draft is gone....I had 6 wins and one loss....its the best I've done so far. Whats the deal?

OK: Constructive comment - I paid $10 to buy a starter deck, which isn't tournament legal. Furthermore, there is no way of telling which cards MAKE my deck tournament illegal. Very frustrating. This should be a selectable box when deck-building (IE tournament legal cards only.)

Less constructive comment: You guys seriously screwed the pooch. First the game was buggy but playable. You patched it, it became damned-near unplayable. Dumped from most games. And now? Window's the wrong size. "Play" isn't a selectable function. That was Wednesday/Thursday. Friday, my login is deactivated? And now, the game won't even try to connect to the server. WTF!?!

I can login again now. Updated my files through steam. Window's still the wrong size (and unadjustable). Play is still not a selectable option. All I can do is edit my deck, much good may that do me. Still deeply frustrated and considering uninstalling. Hell of a way to treat players who contribute funds to your beta.

Please don't take this the wrong way Jeremiah but I'm going to be very blunt with you. There are some exceptionally misunderstood pieces of information in your mind here and I'm going to explain them to you so that you and I can get on the same page.

1] What are you talking about your starter deck isn't tournament legal? There's absolutely no reason that it ISN'T tournament legal. There are two, very simple things that make a deck not legal for ranked competition.

Don't have a card from one of the side-sets like Omni or Star Trek in your deck, and Ascension isn't ranked legal until the set actually launches.

Buying a starter deck has none of those cards in it. So excuse me, but two things are happening here. You're wrong, and I'm very confused.

2] We haven't patched, at all this week. So these connection issues you're having and the resolution issues you're having are on your end. Are we happy to troubleshoot this with you? Absolutely, we're always happy to help because it shows us various things we can tweak or optimize with our client.

No login was "Deactivated" as you put, that doesn't happen. If you have a problem with your client or account, literally all you have to do is come to us and we'll talk to you. We're pretty nice and helpful if someone just asks us a simple question or three. :)

Why is your resolution unable to be altered? Unable to click the button? The workaround for an unchangeable resolution can be found here:

However, if you could tell me what started this process I can add that to our collective information so that we can use it to find out what in the world is going on with these random client side glitches.

Lastly, patches will have an expected unavoidable problem. You should likely expect patches to present problems for about 24 hours after they're presented until we're out of Beta. We don't make any mistakes that usually a patch presents more problems than it solved, but those are also the very same fixes that were intended to go in simply not working properly after the merge to the live server. They are resolved rather quickly.

In your case, any connection issues need to be looked at from your end. We're also very happy to facilitate that effort and troubleshoot it. Any resolution issues can be fixed with the above effort, and I would love to hear what initially caused it so that we can look into fixing it for everyone who may encounter it.

The ranked legal stuff....I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Starter Decks ABSOLUTELY are ranked legal. Omni/Star Trek are not ranked legal ever, Ascension will be legal on June 14th when the set launches.

When dealing with Infinity Wars and Lightmare studios, it's really easy to get help or answers from us. Just ask a question man. No need to get aggressive with us, we're not some big high and mighty AAA company who's just going to shun you.

We honestly want to help. Just talk to us and we will. We can't make a beta without the help from our community so that's why we're here. We'll always do our best to help. :)

Teremus - I don't mind blunt, and I appreciate your willingness to help. I'm sorry if I came across as aggressive or pissy. I'm a paralegal and work too much, so I hadn't noticed the resolution stuff. My bad. I'll try to troubleshoot that myself. That said:
1. I do not own any Star Trek or Omni cards to my knowledge. I play Verore and bought 1 Verore starter pack. That's it. Not sure what cards I own that are tournament illegal, yet most of the decks I built are marked "Illegal" when I select competition. How can I tell which cards the game objects to? My deck has 3 Verore generals and a few "gray" or "non-set" cards. Are those the "Omni" cards you're referring to?
2. I'll try fooling with the resolution and let you know what happens.

3. Also, seriously, this patch is messing with me. My usual game goes as follows:
I play a card. I'm told I'm disconnected from the server. Half the time I reconnect, half the time I'm booted to the "play" screen. I rarely am able to finish a game before being totally disconnected. My net connection is not currently the best (my landlord is sheisty), but it isn't that bad. I used to be able to finish games. So what gives with not being able to finish a game now?

The cards that aren't tournament or ranked legal are anything from the Omni, Star Trek, or Ascension sets. Ascension will be legal once the set launches. Grey are factionless cards, that's all. They're still from specific sets.

I would imagine there's some kind purity issues affecting your deck, or one of the double-card glitches. If you could delete the deck then build it again, let me know what's going on. If it says legal at the bottom left of the screen you should be good.

In regards to what's going on with not being able to finish a game, that is highly strange as nothing on that portion has changed in our programming or client.

What I can do however is notify support that there is a serious issue happening with you. Once you experience one of these problems, do the following and we'll try and help you troubleshoot it to see what's up.

Right click IW in your library on steam, hit properties - local files - browse local files - open Infinity Wars_TCG Data

Make a copy of Output_Log.txt and attach it in an e-mail to Support@lightmare.com.au and please include a brief description of the problem.
