Constantly laggy

Just bought this and it is so laggy. I have tried using the performance option in the menu but it hasn't worked - can anyone help please? Thank you :)

TP is running flawless ,even on 10+ year old pc systems.

Usually when my laptop starts to lag (*cough* tw:wh3 *cough*) it means the cpu's getting too hot. I can mostly fix it by keeping my room colder than the rest of the house and having a working cooling pad and/or fan blowing on my computer.

are you running TTP on an seriously underpowered gpu like an internal Intel gpu?

@exe - No, I've got NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER - I'm really new to PC gaming having always had a console, so I was hoping someone would be able to advise on how to solve this problem as it is very real and I can't play the game :(

on which resolution you play? 1660 Super should run fine on 1080p on mid details

Thank you, I checked the resolution and changed everything to medium and now it is playing perfectly :)
