Per the end of the post:
on the CPU (took less than 3 seconds from 3% and down to 3 again ), so nothing dramatic.
First I changed to Vulcan.
I went from Demo -> New Game and then Esc to change Multisample to max.
At the same time I raised CPU to Ultra.
I did not see the "Resume game", as that was not together with the other menu items,
but on my left screen, so I right-clicked a few times and the game froze with a blue
wheel that I could move with my mouse pointer. After Ctrl+Alt+Del, i got to desktop, and game was marked as "Not Responding".
Restarted game. Played for 5 minutes. Went back to GFX menu. Changed nothing, and got a Hang when I clicked on resume game. CPU usage during gaming 8-12 %. Got a spike similar to first time, going to 42% around the moment I got the Hang.
Cheers :)
Specs under INFO in my profile.
EDIT: Have to go to work, if there isn't another thread started about the license validation error by end of day I will start one and include log files.
EDIT 2: After installing the 4GB update this morning, the game works, and my profile/progress is still there! Hope this works for anyone else who got the license validation error. Thanks to the devs for issuing this update.
Sorry, different practice for Codemasters.. :)
Where do I find the logs?
But after a couple of restats it works. Strange. Definitely something wrong with it.
edit 2
Yep, alt-tabbing disables vsync in vulcan.
Thanks. Done :)
I'm investigating a stutter problem in another game that I suspect is related to when updates
are pushed and update notification appears in the Library. Is it possible to get the exact time
the 4.4GB update was released please? If you have it down to second it would be perfect,
but even within a couple of minutes would help a lot!!
Cheers :)
