- SOLVED - Talos Principle hard locking up system ( Talos.log included )

I'm getting that freeze every time when i reach elevator and also if i pass it by getting lucky and not freezing; then it freeze after a few minutes at top , after a few minutes of playing. Here is the log file:

As a note ; all other Vulkan apps ( F1 2017 , Rise of The Tomb Raider , Doom 2016 via Wine and GTA V , Witcher 3 via DXVK are also running normally without hard lockups. ]

Which version driver are you using? (terminal -> nvidia-smi will give you version number in top left)

Also your cpu is set to powersave mode which can negatively influence performance in some games. You can use this tool (https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode) to set it to perfromace

I think that is not related to driver itself though. I'm trying to play this game with starting from 384 drivers , now on 396.24.02 and it is same.

Yeah , i'm aware of that tool and cpu governors but i tried that one time and performance gains were not much but heating was affected. Also from my observations , these kinda tools are much more effective on AMD cpu's with have rather low ipc than Intel cpu's with have better ipc in general.

This a laptop with Intel HD+ Nvidia Gtx 1050 works with Nvidia Prime.

Problem solved. Disabling Steam Overlay for that game solved it.
