Serious Sam 4

To put things into perspective

SS4 looks like an amateur fan mod compared to Witchfire.

But wait, there is more!

Serious Sam 4 E3 presentation:
Sorry, you're too poor to view it.

Being a SS fans feels like an insult.

Announcing an E3 presentation, but then showing it only to journalists was really annoying.
I think you are overreacting. How can you be SS fan if you can't withstand few hiccups.
Witchfire's teaser is hyping me up even when i don't know anything about this game, wow.

Few hiccups? It's a hellish rollercoaster of mistakes. Just look at Fusion.
I'd rather compare the finished graphics, not some trailers. Croteam doesn't even seem to care all that much about the teasers.

Well Fusion was free for everyone having the old games + they said it's kinda testing ground for new technologies and there will be bugs. I played a lot of custom maps on Fusion (usually ported and with many problems, but I was able to run them eventually) and had fun with them.
When it comes to the "see you in E3" thing I also expected something more, but I bet there will be something from "journalists" when they can share legally.
I still believe, which is extremely unlikely, that Croteam will surprise us with early premiere sometime "soon" (this year hopefully).
Saying that I think we just need to have more faith in Croteam. If they being so secretive now means better product in the future, I can go with that. I understand fans (and me as a fan too) can be disappointed, but hate comments and toxicity won't change anything.

It WON't have 100 k monster at once. Im pretty sure, that there won't be even more than 100 at on screen at the same time. They just said, the engine can handle that. In term of gameplay 100 k enemies on screen would be really awfull.
I thought the screenies of Sam 4 looked good.

To be fair though, Sam games run on modest kit. Like the first time I played SS3, I had only a GT 320 1GB RAM graphics card. SS3 ran on medium for graphics, and still looked hot. (Loved it deeply.)

Comparing SS4 to other games is toxic?

^ This. I'll quote myself once again:

Of course unexpected problems can happen, but what about all the other things? Like the way they post updates for Serious Sam Fusion: they fix a thing, they break many others; closed testers test a patch, they ruin it right before release. Too many regressions, which usually means messy programming arrangement.

I guess bugged hitboxes, "corrupted" savegames, wrong laser projectile rotation and all the other regressions are not issues.

And the best part is that almost every patch introduced at least one regression.
