Reverse direction of one-way roads?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to reverse the direction of one-way roads. I've started building a one-way city loop and it appears that after connecting the two road segments at the end...they are facing each other head-on.

Yeah, like ilovebeerbeerbeer said, you need to right+click the road.

It will initially show up red when you go to click on it, but that red is for a left+click upgrade road, not a right+click reverse one way road direction.

It took me a minute to figure it out myself when I first tried it.

So yeah, just right+click it anyway, even though it shows up red and it will change direction just fine for you.

Good luck.

This makes setting lane directions much nicer - you click a button (two arrows facing same direction) and then drag along the roads to set their direction. There's also button to make one-way roads back in to two-way roads.

And this mod is very useful for showing where one-way roads are:

ERU mod has been obsolete for quite a while now, as you can do the same with the core game, just click "upgrade" icon and then, instead of leftclick to upgrade, you rightclick to reverse direction.

OWS Arrows is nice, I use it too.

The extended road upgrade is not longer needed as the core game can do this now, however, in my view the mod is much nicer to use then the core games implementation

I know the core game can do it, but I much prefer the way ERU works - to me it's more intuitive to drag along a set of roads to change their direction, it feels more natural, much more so than to use the obscure right-click approach that the game provides.

I prefer the core way.

just rightclick on the first road piece and keep pressed, then move cursor to keep reversing if you have several pieces to reverse.

for me, works much better than ERU when it comes to tight spots (under a bridge for example) as with ERU u need to press in the proper spot AND drag into the proper direction, while with the core method you just need press

Tried everything, can't get it to work. Does it require a specific (newer?) version of the game?

It hasn't changed. You just need to click the upgrade icon then right+click the road to upgrade it. It's posted in the first few posts.

Thank you! Short and to the point answer....too many people post paragraph responses and are absolutely useless. This is the answer a forum should receive to a direct question. Awesome post!

you need to be in road upgrade mode for it to work.... that's the exclamation mark right of where you change from straight road to curved road
