Why are my metro/train/tram lines not working
I'm trying to place tram stops, but when I place a second stop, it won't let me

There are multiple track types in the game, so make sure you are using the proper track for the proper station.
Side Note:

They need to release an update and add "Rail Crossings" ** Road Types **, these are essential!

Also, make sure once you place the desired transit hub, you create the lines or "routes" that the ie.) bus, train, etc. should take.

Each route has a start and endpoint that meet (same one).

That's what I was doing
What I mean is that when I try to place a tram stop at a tram track, it just doesn't place it.
Make sure you are using base game roads and not workshop roads, as they may issues. make sure you read all workshop that you subscribe very carefully.

I'm using DLC stations and roads

Do you use the Mod, Intersection Marking Tool?
I had this problem with my Ferry Lines. I had Intersection Marking Tool on, but after I deactivated it, I could place stops again.
