Does sound come out of your speakers?
All my other games work fine. The audio just stopped with the new Disasters/Radio update.
All settings in Cities seem just fine. Haven't found a solution for this yet.
Yes, I did this and it worked brilliantly, thanks for your help. Perhaps Colossal Order should look at incorporating support for a broader range of sound settings in a patch, it looks like several of us have experienced this issue.
This also worked for me. No need to restart my PC though. Doesn't make any sense why you should have to set your sound settings to lower quality. Thanks for the help, b.j.basler!
That sounds very, very old. Does your app work? Or are you using generic windows update drivers? That card has been around since XP and probably windows 98.
The drivers were updated in Sept. 2015. I bought the card in 2014. Running Windows 10. Everything has worked great so far. I got the Cities sound to come back on by turning down the audio to 44.1khz, but that seems like an odd workaround.
Sounds like a driver issue. The sound should auto-adjust to the proper setting for playback. I can see mine switching on my USB sound card.
Try uninstalling drivers and use windows update drivers. They are featureless drivers, but should work properly.
44.khz should be fine. That is the full range the human ear can listen to anyway.
