Landscaping issue
Hey all,
Is there a setting that when I lay roads, or houses or anything other, that it will remove the trees and shrubs that is around? I'm certain it used to do that, but now it doesn't. Thanks for the help.

You could always use MoveIt to remove everything at once and before you place roads or zones. Use the marquee tool to highlight everything, then the built in bulldozer to get rid of it all. It also works for getting rid of everything before painting fertile ground with Extra Landscaping Tools.

Don't forget to use Achieve It as well to keep earning achievements if you do such and want to keep getting them.

Have no idea what causes it but I do no it doesn't happen on all maps.. My point being that it seems to me that if it were a problem with a mod or asset it would prevail on every or most every map but I have not found it to be the case. Been a while though and the more I think about it...

Try checking the options settings under Contact Manager

If you have Road Anarchy try disabling it. May not work till you start a new version of the map. If that don't fix it check for Prop Anarchy. I have seen similar reports on both.

prop and tree anarchy has a setting for that, I think it's called unhide all on load.... which likes to act up sometimes... better deforest before you bild as hidden trees still count vs the tree limit and are still calculated, they are a resource drain.

My guess is you have Prop and Tree Anarchy installed. It's supposed to do that, so you can place trees inside buildings. It's also important to note that trees aren't removed, they're actually just hidden. I always recommend actually removing them, since they still count towards the limits while hidden, and the game is still keeping track of them. Move It can be handy for clearing larger areas at a time. :)
