[SOLVED] flickering cities

The buildings in my cities keep flickering like crazy. Any idea what mod would be causing this? On newest version of game with new DLC

You just need to remove only the mods, one-by-one, then test until you find the culprit. There is no other way.

I already loaded the game with all assets disabled without issues as well, but it still flickers. So, it is definitely a mod!

Luckily you only have a few mods to test, so it should be a quick fix.

Good to know. Thanks for testing. Will have to look at them tomorrow sometime when I got time. Thanks everyone for all the help as well. Appreciate it all so much. Hopefully be able to find the culprit.

Started a new game and is fine thus far. 1 hour into it. Shall see if it happens again as well.

I did another quick check.

I launched with --disableMods and it still flickers. So, I put Network Extentions 2 back in so I had roads. I ran Loading Screen Mod with "only load mods enabled" generates a reports that these assets still used on the map.

This leaves one of these 175 assets causing the issue.

Thanks. HOpefully I can get the culprit in that list near the start haha. Glad it know it still flickers for others. Means it is not my desktop. Ill keep at the assets

Yea you have click the link then click the link on the top of the popup window and it will load. Not sure whats up with that. Just steam having a tantrum haha.

I just tested the city again with the moor houses disabled in content manager. But the issue continues. I then went to the asset page and unsubbed from it, then it loaded fine. I guess disabling isn't enough.

Also, I noticed the asset want the building themes mod. If you like those houses, maybe set the mod up and see if the problem goes away.

The positive out of all this is my assets are all cleaned up now. All old or useless obselete ones are gone. From 1900 down to 800. Room for new ones now. Most of them were just props for larger assets I wasnt subscribed to anymore haha.

You have to isolate the broken asset that's the cause and remove it. I usually find it easier to just remove them all and start over, being more careful the next time.
