i cannot find material to build axe

hi as the title, i'm stuck in the cave, i have the battery and the helmet, i have the pick axe, the watch, the scroll but i can't get out of this did i miss something ? or it's a bug ?

i try to fix the huts roof and as i click, nothing happens, so i open the book and as soon as you do that it immediate refuses to close, you break the game and have to load another file and even that doesn't work so i uninstalled. i am 15 out of 16 achievements...
