FOV Fixed Again!
PCGamingWiki Article [pcgamingwiki.com]
This is done through the use of Cheat Engine. If you don't know what it is or have a basic knowledge of how to use it, look that up first. The download link can be found in the description of the video.

Thanks to EviL MoNKeY for his post in KayJay's thread regarding the FOV in Cheat Engine in the first place. It helped me get started and to figure the rest of it out. I meant to shout him out in the video but forgot to... oops.

Edit: Version 2 is out and now includes the FOV when you have rescued Ashley. The Gun, Knife, and Grenade FOV are handily all tied to the same value... why didn't they do that when you're alone? What ever.

Edit: Version 3 is also now out. It includes FOV addresses for Assignment Ada and Separate Ways, though I haven't tested them. They were donated by Alpha Kazai, so if they work thank him. If they don't, I dunno. Don't thank him. Yell at him. Do whatever you want I guess.

Edit: As of 3/21/2016 Alpha Kazai is now handling the creation of new versions. I can't test any of the values he's been putting out, so it's better for him to be the curator now anyways.

Have you noticed that zooming in introduces warping? Can this be avoided by using the same FOV values for both "normal FOV" and "aim FOV"?

Neat!
Thanks for that.

Maybe. I just assumed the warping was because... well, it's FOV. But I think you're right. Mess around with it, see if you can find something.

I released a new version of the table. The download link is in the video's description. The new update includes the two FOVs for after you have rescued Ashley. It's also been slightly reorganized. There's an extra thing I included called Camera Information, which helps me to find the value of the FOV. This should not be edited, but if you find something out using it let me know.

If there were one other thing that I could think would warrant another update, it would be the part where you play as Ashley. I don't know if it uses the same FOV as when you're as Leon, but I feel like the camera was zoomed in more for that part. I'll find out once I get there I suppose.

So, I've just passed the section where you run from the giant salazar statue and reached the room with the elevator.
The address for the gun fov on this section is, for some reason, different from the original.
The new address seems to be "bio4.exe+7FA09C".

I downloaded the thing.. So how do I use it? Some instruction for installation would be appreciated.

I gave a brief rundown of each of the values, Ronald. If you don't know how to use Cheat Engine in the first place, there's tons of tutorials all over the internet.

I was just trying the CheatEngine for the first time, and was able to change the fov values but whenever I reach certain point, the values change to default. Anyone know how to prevent that from happening?
Feno Oct 27, 2015 @ 11:48am
This happens in the first few areas of the game but should stop after the first chapter. The only other area I encountered where the FOV kept resetting was the sewer with the Novistadors.

Ok, thanks. It's a tad annoying, but much better than playing with the game's fov.

Being adware, Cheat Engine was really annoying to install. You really have to look carefully what to accept.

Are you aware that this cheat table doesn't work with 'Separate Ways' and 'Assignment Ada' campaigns? The FOV sometimes turns wider, but always resets soon. Do you know how to fix this?

I can send you my save file if you haven't finished the game (a requirement for unlocking extra campaigns).
