Is there a need for Obscure 3?

Hey guys, so Ive really been meaning to play both the obscure games.
And now since its almost an absolute fact that there wont be a third game, I want to know if there is actually a NEED for the 3rd game?
Im the kind of guy who likes stories to be completed and not left hanging like dead space so I wanna know whether the story ends in the 2 games or is obscure 3 game needed?

Obscure 2 ends in a cliffhanger. There we obvious intentions for a third game, but it never happend, and unless suddenly the other games become super popular, everyone buys them and MRS gets super rich and is able to fund a new team (or bring the old team back) and a new game, it probably won't be happening anytime soon.

Thats sad. This is why i prefer games like silent hill more, where almost every game has a standalone story

In terms of lore, yes. It is in fact, needed, since O2 ended in a cliffhanger, sadly the 3rd installment is a really crappy ass game. Hopefully someone will buy the IP someday and make a proper sequel, because I love both these games
