Nascar 14 Setup & Wheel Tips

First off this post is mainly going to help those with a wheel (specifically a G27)
First off wheel settings (At least this is what works for me)
In Logitech Profiler set as follows:
FFB Strength - 70%
Spring Effect - 0%
Damper Effect - 0%

Centering Spring Off & Unchecked
250 Degrees Rotation

In Game I run:
FFB - 70%
Road - 35%
Dead Zone - 10%
Sensitivity - 10%
Lineraty - 80%
Accelerator Sensitivity - 85%
Brake - 90%

Anything not listed I run at 0%


Setups -

Before you start tweaking in the Garage Go out on track and run 10 Baseline laps.
Let's use Phoenix for Example, I ran 10 Test Session laps -
26.9
27.1
27.4
27.6
27.6
27.8
27.5
28.1
28.3
28.3

My Best Lap was a 26.9 and my average lap time is roughly 27.66
(Add all 10 laps together and divide by 10)

My Goal is not only to increase my Best Laptime but overall Average as well to help with tire wear.

I won't get into the details of Coil Bind Sets and Technicial Jargon... yet
For now focus on a couple of things in your setup -

Springs -
Lower Front Springs = Looser
Higher RF Than LF Spring = Tighter on entry
Higher LF Than RF Spring = Looser on entry

Higher Rear Springs = Looser
Higher LR Than RR Spring = Looser on Entry
Higher RR Than LR Spring = Looser on exit

More Weight to the rear = Better Rotation through turns

Higher Track Bar = Better Rotation through turns

Camber =
Focus Mainly on the front Tires for camber for now

More Positive LF Tire Camber - Loose at corner entry
More Negative RF Camber - Loose at corner exit


Remember to make 1 change at a time, go back on track and run 10 more laps and see
where you are at. If you throw several changes at the car at once you will NOT get reliable information.
